We hosted our baby shower at Eddie Merlot‘s this past Sunday. We had a little over 100 guests so you can imagine that it was a lot of planning. Jessica the sales manager, was so accommodating and easy to work with. She responded to emails and questions quickly and did everything in her power to accommodate all of our requests. The day of the shower we showed up a couple hours early to set up and all the staff was so helpful!! The manager John was so friendly and easy to work with. He was constantly checking in during the party to make sure I was happy! Everything turned out perfect! The service and the food was exceptional!! We cannot wait to host another event here!! If you are considering hosting an event at Eddie Merlot‘s, don’t even think twice about it, you will not be disappointed!! Thank you all so much!!!
When we arrived for our reservation we had to wait to be seated for approximately 15 minutes. Our waitress was extremely professional. The service was very slow. The food was cold from my soup to my main course (my husband’s food was cold as well). I sent back my first plate. I ordered blackened scallops and they were super spicy. But that was the only heat the food had. The wonderful waitress graciously offered me something else. Which took forever and arrived “warm”. The ambiance was nice. Dessert was on the house which was nice. But for such an upscale restaurant you shouldn’t have to wait forever for your food and when you do, it should at least be hot.
The food is magnificent and Eddie Merlot is a very nice upscale restaurant to celebrate special occasions. They have a Wygu burger that melts in your mouth. I am a big fan of burgers and carrot cake. The serving of carrot cake could feed four. I always take home some for the week. Eddie Merlot can get busy for the holidays and that is why I gave a 4 star. Everyone is very kind and thoughtful. They can, as any restaurant could, get a bit overwhelmed and at those times, service goes down a bit. However, if you are looking for a great wine, just ask and your server is happy to recommend. A very nice selection of steaks, fish and salads.
