Sozai Restaurant

I could not say enough positive things about the food, the people, the service, EVERYTHING at Sozai. We dined in for the first time tonight after doing carry-out one other time since they weren’t doing dine-in yet. Chef Hajime Sato is absolutely wonderful and brings such passion to this community. He is personable, kind and an all-around great guy. Betty was the sweetest and everyone was simply amazing. We will definitely be frequent diners and love that our local community has such a gem. Sozai is on a whole different level compared to all the other sushi / Japanese restaurants. Amazing dining experience and amazing food!

We had an amazing omakase meal here tonight. Chefs Hajime, Brian and Liam are creating delicious food with sustainable fish. And the sushi pairings they suggested with each course were perfect. Betty is the warmest hostess you could ever want to encounter. We will absolutely be making this a regular dining place.

Incredible sushi and a sophisticated and knowledgeable owner and team. Excellent and welcoming service. I can't wait to dine-in and spend more time trying the entire menu. So glad Clawson as this option!

Excellent food all around. Chef Hajime and his wife, Betty, have a long history in Seattle of delivering fabulous food in a sustainable manner. We are so fortunate to have them in Metro Detroit. Seattle's loss is truly our gain.

Excellent carryout from this restaurant! Order was on time and transported well. Sushi and tempura were delicious. Am looking forward to putting this on our list of regulars. Can’t wait for the sake tastings and custom sushi when you open to dining in!
