Dinner tonight with sis. Wait staff excellent. Sat outdoors on a lovely evening. The cocktails were excellent. The gnocchi was superb. I ordered the kids burger with otus bacon, white cheddar. They left off the red onion and lettuce, which was a bummer. The burger itself was dry and sadly overcooked. Would be much better medium rare or medium. The fries were fresh, hot, crisp, and well spiced, although a little heavy on the celery seed.

Not hitting the place with a 1-star because that’s not fair to a place we didn’t even eat at - just want to air my frustrations. Visiting from out of town, my group of 3 got off of work and wanted oysters. Place looked rad, had oysters (with stuff), had an intimate menu, and closes at 12am. From the pictures of the bar on the website, we figured that you probably closed the kitchen earlier than 12am, so we called and asked when the kitchen closes. Was told 10PM. Double checked the website, and again, kitchen closes at 10PM.
We put the pedal to the metal, and headed up to the spot. GPS had us there at 9:40, which gave us 20 minutes to order. Since we wanted to make this experience as easy as possible for the server and the kitchen, we looked at the menu in the car to find out exactly what we wanted.
Got to the restaurant at 9:43, and was in the process of getting sat by the host when the server stopped us on the way to the table and whispered to the host something about a closed kitchen. The host told us that she was gonna get the manager. The manager then came out and told us that unfortunately “we” close the kitchen 15 minutes early. After explaining that we called early to confirm when the kitchen closes and was told 10pm, the manager then offered to get us food since we were told 10pm. We declined rudely, and were on our way.

IF YOUR KITCHEN CLOSES 15 MINUTES EARLY, THEN YOUR KITCHEN CLOSES AT 9:45.

I understand the game — truly I do. But if this is how you manage, count me out. I know the manager is going to say that they offered us food if we wanted, and we decided not to stay, but do you think we would have been any bit comfortable if we sat and ordered after being told no? Absolutely not. We would have felt the insincerity throughout the entire experience.
The host was right, and the manager placated to the kitchen instead of being hospitable that night. Unfortunately, you’re in hospitality and the staff should stick to the convictions of the restaurant concept and not let the management make up their own rules for convenience — you’ll lose guests this way.

The food was good, but the service slow. It's not a place to go if you're in a hurry. Dinner was just one plate; no salad, no soup, no greens or vegetables. What was served, was very good, but I expected a dinner, not just meat and potatoes.

First time here, really liked this place. Has a really cool vibe and patio. Service was great and the drinks and food as well. I really liked the biscuit and jelly. I recommend getting that on the side with any meal

Atmosphere is awesome here! I’m just rating the happy hour, which is great. $5 apps and $4 cocktails. The bartender was super nice and even let me switch my selection out for wine when I really didn’t like the cocktail I chose. 5 stars for service! They have a room in the back for bands, and we will be returning to try that out.
