Blackthorn Pub

This place is great. Been many times over the years, always enjoyed my experience. The beer selection is excellent. Chatting with the bartender really shows the thought that goes into curating the beer list. Food is also excellent. Anytime we visit this is one of our go to places.

Stopped in for a quick drink. 2 bourbons- makers mark. Price listen on the menu..$5.50. We were charged $6 each. Mine was on the rocks for which I was charged an additional $1.50. Very disappointing! Not trying to be cheap, but, this just seems wrong.????

Really good first experience at Blackthorn Pub. Food was good, atmosphere was great, and the bartender was super cool. We got the stuffed mushrooms, which were yummy. Didn't find the sausage to be that spicy. Still good though. I got the fish and chips, and it was also really good. It was nice that they used haddock instead of the usual cod. I got a kale Caesar salad with my fish and chips. My boyfriend and I split that, as I didn't expect it to be as big as it was. I will say, I would definitely get the kale Caesar salad as a meal though, as it was really good. I loved the dinosaur kale that was used. It's not tough like traditional kale (for anyone who isn't a fan of kale). My boyfriend got a Pub burger, just so he could see how they are before trying one of the others. He likes his cooked medium rare, and he really enjoyed it.
For drinks, I got the Raspberry Coconut Lemonade, and it was sooo incredibly yummy. I took a picture of the cocktails menu so we could get to recreate some of them.
All in all a very good first experience. We'll definitely be going back. It will probably be our new regular place to go to. It's about a 25 minute drive from our place, but going a little further for good food is definitely worth it. ????????

Only 4 stars because I have only been there once and it was late. Service was good for how late it was. They have a great beer selection (draft and bottle). The AC must have been on high. It was 75/80 outside and freezing inside.

Quality food with a rotating specials menu that deserves attention every visit. I went for the shorts brewery tap takeover, and they had a very solid selection with a few I haven't tried. A must try for visitors and residents of Holly
