Is it a grocery store or taproom? Bowling alley? Gas station? It's all of them! A one stop shop destination, that has probably the best array of deli options you could possibly ask for and a Taproom Bistro that has 101 beers of tap with exceptional food. Went before going to the Pine Knob Theater for a quick bite and was the best decision we could have made traveling and not knowing what to expect in the area. If a place like Alex's Gourmet Market was where we lived, would not be upset and will be a frequent patron. There's something for everyone when in a group. Definitely worth stopping by if in the area.
Alex's claims to be the best gas station ever and it's sorta true.
They do have a ton of awesome stuff and it's really a great market that also has gas pumps.
The staff at this location was the only let down. From the cashier to the people at the deli they seemed far too busy on their non customer duties to really notice or help anyone timely, me included.
They do have great stuff though, so worth stopping by for sure.
Fun experience but high prices. I’m not sure what the primary business is as it’s a collection of gas/diesel pumps, “party store” with a huge selection of alcohol, 4 lane bowling alley, restaurant, gelato/coffee bar, and deli. They also have space for events. The atmosphere is chic and fun. We asked for vegan options in the restaurant and we were given several options: hummus, falafel wrap, and lentil soup.
It is gourmet
Alex's is a unique place with high end groceries. I wonder how this concept was born, an over priced grocery store on the bottom with a restaurant, bowling alley and virtual games on the second level. In the market there is a bakery and Gelato corner. The Gelato is good but few flavors. The grocery section seems to be almost half liquid items, including a beer cave. Upstairs includes, a four lane bowling alley, virtual golf and other virtual games as well as a trendy restaurant. The restaurant seems like a nice place for a good meal in an updated atmosphere. There is an outdoor deck that can be inclosed with heaters for the long winters, and a great place for groups looking to have fun. Very unique and worth checking out.
