Nagomi Japanese Restaurant

Most authentic Japanese food I have had outside Japan. Love seeing how they are growing. Have been a loyal customer and will be as long as I can!!!

Quite an experience! This is a very authentic place, don’t get fooled by the simple look of the outside, the flavor and overall experience is great if you really love Japanese food and not just a fancy place. It’s like actually going to a very friendly next door place in Japan!

Let me preface this review by saying that I have an extremely refined palate and my taste for good food is unmatched by no human. The other day, I had a hankering for my favorite dish.. a breakfast sausage and macaroni and cheese bowl. My beautiful son James suggested that we give Nagomi a try instead. All I can say is WOW! I had a dish that I think was called "Mop Flo Toe Shoe". My son James squealed in pure glee as he witnessed his old dad eat his new favorite dish. Thank you Nagomi for bringing joy to my family! And thank you, my little Grungus, for finding old dad's new favorite food. God is good!!

No frills restaurant with the most amazing ramen in the Detroit-area. The broth was full of flavor and so were each of the ingredients. The pork had clearly been roasted and was awesome. I'm full and I want another bowl -- it was that good.

First time here, good experience. The ordering method is pretty cool, never encountered something like it before. I hear it is very common in Japan, you take the card of the item you want, write in the quantity and if it is for sit-down or take out. I had the spicy California roll, it was not spicy at all... But still good.
