Having developed a milk allergy as an adult, I've lamented the lack of dessert choices when I'm eating out. BUT THIS PLACE has choices aplenty! It's been at least ten years since I had a milkshake, but Ale Mary's offers not only a smashing selection of food and adult beverages, but the BEST DAMN (dairy-free) MILKSHAKE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I'll be back to add a photo to this review.

Amazing. My fiance and I both eat meat but appreciate a well done vegetarian/vegan meal. They have something for everyone and we cannot wait to try their desserts. There is an awesome selection of beer AND bourbon/whiskey. Definitely check them out!

We were told it was a 30 minute wait for a table so we agreed to sit at the bar but then we noticed a four top sat empty behind us for half of our meal. Maybe there are rules about seating two people at larger tables? Not a huge deal. Cornbread was sitting in oil but the butter that came with it was great! Fried chicken wasnt very flavorful but not bad. My boyfriend liked his burger.

When I found out that Tom's Oyster Bar was downsizing to incorporate a craft beer bar, I had mixed feelings but as soon as Ale Mary's opened I knew it was going to be here to stay. To say that their draft list is dynamic and their staff is knowledgeable is an understatement. Not only have they acquired some wonderful small release tap handles but they've kept beers on that the average customer getting into craft beer won't be intimidated by. Being a beer lover I would come here alone to enjoy a pint, but since they have a full vegan menu and one of the most delicious burgers in the Metro Detroit area, now I can bring almost anyone to enjoy their offerings. I'm so happy they're here and if you can find a seat (it's popular, see reasons above) I highly recommend checking out this spot as it's become one of my favorites, cheers!
