Sign of the Beefcarver

Loved it!
My husband used to go, as a kid, with his grandparents and parents on Sundays after church. So when we saw that there was one still open, we had to stop.
From the outside of the building I wasn't expecting much. It...well... has what I'll call "old charm", lol. The inside was similar, dated, but clean!
The food is great! Tastes like Grandma's home cooking and the portions are a nice big helping.
The staff was also wonderful!

We will definitely be back whenever we are in the area!

One of the last cafeteria style restaurants left. The staff was great, but the selection of food, and the atmosphere was excellent. Everyone should try this place at least once while in Detroit.

The food is very good there. Not as expensive as other restaurant. The staff are nice and professional.

Very nostalgic here, use to go here as a kids and had to come back to see if it was the same, it is. Not sure if that's really a great compliment because I hadn't been here in 20+ years and literally nothing had been updated. They really need to clean it up and change it up. Food came out ok but roast beef was cold. Need to definitely change or not sure if they can make it work with everything else around them

Took my parents to the last of the great family restaurants. My parents hadn't been since moving back to Michigan. As good as they remembered. I got the roast beef, as normal, and everyone else got the pepper steak.
