Nice historical house with comfort food & a bar. Great friendly & fast service. Homemade bread is great.
Please disregard the haters with poor reviews - the great food and interesting historical atmosphere make this a "must do" before it closes for good. Yes, it's old and not updated, but that matters little.
Four of us enjoyed a fabulous dinner last night - the chicken cordon bleu is the best I've ever had and the homemade bread is delicious. Others enjoyed the burger, Angus filet, chicken strips, and french onion soup. The mom and son combo provided excellent service with a side of interesting conversation!
Call to see if they were open today because of Presidents Day and yes they were open. Jody cooked my husband and I a very good meal, for our anniversary today. Thank you Jodi for a excellent meal. Will be back soon..
Had some doubts about eating here at first. But the food was delicious. Portions were large even for the kids (made them extra so they could take to school for lunch tomorrow ❤), food was fresh and delicious. The service was exceptional (family owned and run since 70's i believe). The building is beautiful and was historically part of the underground railroad. The whole experience was like dining 30 years ago at a place that cares about their customers....probably since they have been opened that long and still hold onto their believes that it's not about the$ but more about the customer.
