Ellen's Bakery & Cafe

Nice updated atmosphere. Lots of bakery selections. I got the Ruben without 1000 island. Good but needed more meat/kraut to compete with the flavor of the bun. The bun was delicious but I wish there was more of the meat and kraut flavor. The hamburgers looked really good and were a very large portion size.

Have been to this location for brunch and returned for thier new dinner menu. The food was amazing, and so was our waitress specifically. The 3 star rating is due to the manager and other wait staff yelling at one another while trying to enjoy our meal.

The staff are friendly and I really like the bakery choices. The atmosphere could be better. The tables are very close together and you feel like you are on top of the other guests. I went yesterday and it felt more like Chuckie Cheese in there.

The food is always very good, but the service is lacking. We have been serviced by unenthusiastic waitresses ever since we started coming there. The extra charge for syrup is a bit outrageous as well. However, the food is really good (especially the cranberry walnut pancakes!) so we will continue to return!

So I wanted to wait til I tasted their breakfast and pasta first but it might be awhile so I'll just do one now. Their food is very fresh and quite satisfying. I've never ate a burger before that made me feel fresh and satisfied at the same time. Definitely worth it to check it out at least once. The bakery is quite beautiful also.
