Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

Burgers are thin but that's Freddy's signature. The pickles are chunky and crunchy which makes for a good taste on their burgers, so don't skip the pickle. Not a fan of the string fries so I substitute with chips. Always clean inside but traffic can be a pain when exiting. Not an overly friendly staff but they are professional and willing to help.

I feel like Freddy's is "hit & miss"; sometimes they're good, sometimes not so much. I cannot say I've ever had a HORRIBLE experience but I've had my fair share of "not so great for the money they charge" experiences. Today, for instance: I hadn't been to Freddy's in a long time (trying to eat healthier). Today I decided to splurge and stop to get a Strawberry Cheesecake Concrete. I've had them multiple times in the past and absolutely LOVED them (especially because of the chunks of cheesecake). Today, I am completely disappointed. At first I thought, "they must've forgotten the cheesecake"...until finally, several bites into it, I bit into a very small piece of cheesecake. And that was that. ONE small bit of cheesecake in my entire concrete. Another time I thought, "perhaps it's just mixed in super fine like?" and yet, I couldn't taste even a smidgeon of cheesecake. I paid extra for one small sliver bit of cheesecake. Very disappointing. Perhaps it's the higher powers trying to tell me I shouldn't have splurged at Freddy's? I'll likely remember this next time I feel the urge to splurge. When it comes to ice cream, The Garage in Standale is the spot!! And for burgers, Culver's will always be the best!! Sorry, Freddy's ????

I've always wanted to stop at Freddy's but never did until this past weekend. I regret waiting so long! The food and service was 5-star worthy.

Good tasting burger and crispy shoestring potatoes. Very good custard turtle Sunday. Good treat for under 20 bucks. I'll do it again but probably only get the single burger.
