Good food with good prices just not the best service.
Well.... There was wait... But it was okay because it was late and they looked short handed. There must have been at least two other people in the restaurant in addition to us...can't rush these things. After three or four minutes someone took our order. Three or four minutes really isn't that long it just felt that way. I shouldn't complain, I suppose, the other guy that was waiting for food when we got there was still waiting for food when we left. (Glad I didn't order whatever he ordered - missed a bullet there) Anyways, I ordered the fancy BBQ brisket sandwich, hold the cheese, and as a meal with potato cakes and a Coke. I added a Buffalo slider just as a redundant source of food in case they neglected to hold the cheese. Just to be safe I reiterated, "Did I say hold the cheese?" I received affirmation that I did indeed say "without cheese please". My beloved, the carnivore, can see the event beginning to unfold and jumps ship at the last moment choosing to order something less complex, a half pound roast beef. It doesn't come with anything but beef. She played the safe card. I'm still waiting on the Coke. I'm quite certain that she made an intuitive leap to the future recognizing that it will be easier to swap me her roast beef rather than scrape the cheese off of my brisket as I drive. At this point I have departed to a table thinking the Coke will come with the order. Besides, the carnivore has that why can't you just order something that doesn't have cheese on it look. We're kind of in a hurry which is why we stopped here in the first place and she hates it when I complicate things by ordering food that I like. The food finally arrived and we bolted for the door anxious to be on our way. In the vehicle I elect to ride, a rare occasion to be sure, but one which will allow me to adjust the sandwich contents if necessary. As I suspected, the sandwich will require a cheeseactomy, but owing to the location of the offending material it isn't to big of an operation. My beloved has unpackaged her meal (after offering nicely to trade me) and discovered that her sandwich doesn't even exist on the menu! We think. It has two completely different sauces top and bottom and has that magic elixir, cheese whiz! The carnivore is not happy and I am restraining myself from inquiring why she can't just order something simple. Anyways, the twenty dollar meal was kind of a bust. If you stop here you might want to take a snack for the wait. I'm still waiting for that Coke... maybe it was a Pepsi place.
Very clean restaurant, friendly staff, and prompt service earn this place 4 stars. Only negative I can think of is that when something happened I would have expected anyone to at least offer to help with the staff courteously answered but did nothing to help.
As usual, Arbys was fabulous. In many ways Arbys (for me) ranks with at the top if you consider it fast food. Sadly fast wasn't exactly a consideration today. Fortunately, I'm generally not in a rush. And less so when they get my order correct, which they did.
Really liked the fish. Although the service was much much slower then necessary, the food itself was extraordinarily good for a fast food restaurant. It would be nice to see them work is a unit perhaps have some training on how to work cohesively to increase service I think 18 minutes is a long time to wait for two fish sandwiches when only myself and two other people were in the entire restaurant, all that aside I would still go again.
