Back Door Saloon

I had the lunch special "Prime Rib Sandwich w/ Garlic Aioli". Waitress talked it up but I personally thought the meat was chewy and tough (i only ate 1/3 of it and didn't take it to go) Husband had a blue cheese burger but added jalapenos and Overall that was delicious.

The hot wings were on point!! However the deep fried pickles unfortunately were not the best I've tried so I can't say I'd suggest them.

Not sure if it's cold in there all the time because the bar sits close to the lake but I never took my jacket off.

Still left a generous tip because our witness was so polite!

Average bar food. Met an old friend here for lunch. Laid back atmosphere, and quiet enough to carry on good conversation. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Would not discourage anyone from eating here.

Relaxing place with a nice view of the lake in a quaint town. Try the Big Bad Wolf sandwich. I live a couple hours away so finding the time to drive up is hard with my work schedule, but definitely stopping in again.

The food here is far better than I expected for a bar. The spicy green beans were very good. The black bean burgers was tasty. And the onion rings were crunchy and not greasy. We are definitely adding it to the places we stop when we are in town.

We always stop at the Back Door Saloon going East. Love that place!! Good food Good service. People love to talk with you, we get info of all the good spots in Houghton lake
