Jake's Old City Grill

Great atmosphere. Excellent food that is a good value. My steak was awesome. The Cesar salad was excellent as well.

This was my first time here. We took a tour of the inside since we had never been there before; lots of great history on the walls. We ate outside because the weather was perfect for a change. The Bloody Marys are excellent, as are the burgers. My burger was cooked absolutely perfectly, medium rare! Most restaurants overcook burgers. This one was wonderful. Our waiter, Jake, was very friendly and attentive. There's quite a bit of traffic noise when you sit outside. It's too bad they can't have a patio back by the river so you can watch boat traffic instead of vehicle traffic. All in all, great experience!!! ????????????????????

Great old building located in old town Saginaw. Atmosphere and service is equally as great. The food options are good and prepared well for what you'd expect from the plate price -- that said this is a bit more expensive than other options in the area, but the food was prepared as expected versus other lower cost options. Appetizers are a bit overpriced for what they are and how much you get. There is a nice selection of beers, wins, and spirits as well. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for a local option.
