Helena's Country Market

Love this place! The owners are so friendly & love to engage with you in conversation. Everything Helena makes is delicious! I have my favorites......city chicken, pope cake, her meatballs (I forgot the Polish name for them) & her cheddar chicken & onion patties....those are my absolute FAVORITE!! Make sure you follow them on Facebook, because there's certain food they don't have every day of the week & they tell you what's going on daily on their page.

The owners are so nice and pleasant, very personable and chatty! The pierogies are amazing here, with a good variety. I always come early and stock up, as they go fast! Soups here are delicious as well, beet and dill and others! Truly a neighborhood gem!

Fantastic food. Stopped on Thursday but the food did not last. Had to go back on Saturday. Tried virtually everything they had and would get it all again. If you stop make sure he sells you enough on your first visit.

Thank you Helena and Bob. You're both wonderful!! The ambiance of your store is the best. I felt so welcome and happy. No wonder your food is do good... It's cooked with love and fun. It is clear that you are an outstanding chef. The chicken was so perfect. It is clear to me that the oil was at the perfect temperature before you added the traditionally breaded chicken. You didn't rush it and it shows in each mouthful. The cabbage in the glumpky was perfectly tender but not mushy; an absolute treat. Thank you great big bunches! We will be back for sure.

Helena's is a amazing little Polish market out in Marine city. Helena and her husband always great you with a smile and treat you like your family. Pierogies and the chicken patties and a lot of there other yummy polish stuff like their deserts have always been spot on. If you stop in give them a big hello.
