What a wonderful place. Nothing fancy decorated with old beer steins and some great newspaper articles. The food was very traditional and cook to perfection. The schnitzel was cooked perfectly we had both veal and pork. The beets and cheese spread were so different like I've never had. Service was excellent Rebecca was one of the best servers I've had in a long time, wonderful when someone enjoys their job. Will be going back for sure!

Has a great non-chain vibe, even if it is a bit kitschy. Good bar selection and lots of German beers. Food is fresh, very tasty, and homemade, love the salmon selection but sad the BBQ salmon option is gone. Feels like an Ann Arbor institution.

Original German feeling and food! Great service! A bit pricey but we def are every last piece of food on our table! Prime Rib is superb! Stuffed Cabbage Rolls were delicious!

The family likes coming here often. Cuckoo clocks line the walls, as well as other memorabilia. Lots of options for German food, and we like that you get to choose your sides when ordering an entree. They have specials as well as the regular fare. Beers on tap are good, and we've had wine here as well. Consistent service and food. Bathrooms are well maintained and taken care of regularly.

It was a Friday night and busy and crowded. And because it was so busy the service was a little slow and the aisles a little narrow as they squeezed in more people. Even so, our server was friendly and working her butt off, so definitely can't complain about that.

The onion pie was the highlight for me, as was the brown mustard, which was very sweet.

Had the carrot cake for two to go and honestly, it's a big enough piece for three. Very good and very filling.
