This place is the best, the owner is nice, the atmosphere is great, the servers are even better, and even the other guests have been great people so far. I will find myself here a lot more and I have recommended that so many of my friends try it out. During a time where I've felt alone, it's always nice to find places that make you feel this welcomed. Looking forward to coming back soon.
Open to the public and makes you wanna raise your own..
Detroit Farm & Cider was the host to "Outstanding in the Field". The event was beautiful, thanks to the farm for helping this event happen. The lead chef was from Marrow using some local ingredients. The grape leaves and pecans came from this farm.
Good atmosphere(aside from every house on the street being vacant/rundown), nicely laid out, and overall happy that it's apart of Detroit Urban agriculture. However, was very unimpressed with their most recent collaboration on Tuesday August 17th. Food was subpar, but looked very presentable. The event was well planned it seemed in every aspect except the serving of dinner. As if the chef had never cooked for 400 people before. Meat was quite cold by the time it was served at the farther end of the table. Needed a bit of diversity in terms of meat. Probably would have been better if the event was properly staffed. Maybe 20 people instead of the maybe 8 people that were serving us? Also, WHY IS THERE NO CIDER AT A PLACE WITH CIDER IN THE NAME?! Oh, and everyone apart of the group wanted to make it seem about them when it SHOULD be about the farm.
This was a very educational and enjoyable experience for myself and great grandchildren. We loved it and look forward to spending more quality time there in 2021. Thanks for supporting our city.
