Lenox Jerk Kitchen

When I first walked into a restaurant I check for cleanliness and I must say Lenox Jerk Kitchen was very clean, calm. The owner I believe his name is Ox and staff were very friendly and professional. Now for the food OMG THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! I mean everything from the jerk chicken to rice and cabbage. The plantains were FANTASTIC!!! Last but certainly not least the RASTA PASTA........ I absolutely LOOOOOVE.

If you're in a hurry, this isn't fast food. The time I waited wasn't unreasonable, I made calls in my car because I wasn't in a hurry. The staff is polite. The prices aren't cheap but the size/quantity and quality of the food was well justified in the cost. I ordered a small curry chicken with cabbage, sweet plantains and I think it came with corn?
What does a small look like? She holds up a standard white carryout container. How much do you get? More than you can eat! I ordered around 6pm Saturday but didn't get home until 2am. I opened the box, it was full, stuffed, no space was spared. When I finally tasted my food 😃😃😃😃😃 OMG, I immediately wanted to know everything about him. WHO ARE YOU?!? This is amazing!! I'm sorry I can't offer greater detail but when the meat falls off the bone and every spoonful of rice is moist, I am happy. The flavors left me speechless, I couldn't finish it all and saved the rest for Sunday.
No doubt, I will visit again! Soon!

Stopped by Lenox last night and I’m so glad we did. We’re here visiting from Florida and we were looking for something good to eat. Baby! That food was Soooooooooo good! We never had Jamaican food that taste like this before not even in Jamaica 😭 I couldn’t put my fork down, the food was great. The customer service was great. I’ll visit this place every time I come to Detroit. 5/5 stars highly recommended.

Ordered the ox box and it was enough food to eat on for days! Ox has def got the best jerk chicken i have ever had. Truly a genuine nice guy and i wish his restaraunt great success!

The best Jamaica food that I’ve gad in America. It was better than the food that I had when I visited Jamaica 2x within a year….. I went late night on a Sunday and the food was very fresh. It is well worth the price. The owner Lenox and the cook was very friendly and were great conversationalist.
The tray was loaded. I shared with my 14 year old son and still had leftovers.
The hours are closed Monday-Tuesday. Wednesday-Thursday 12p-2p and Friday-Sunday from 2pm-2am every day.
