Mike's Pizza Bar

Nice atmosphere/ environment. Cool place to chill while you wait for your concert or game to start at Little Ceasars Arena. The pizza was pretty good too. I had a regular pepperoni. I can't wait to get home and eat the rest. Forgot to take pictures. The biggest size pizza they have is a 12 inch, 8 slices. Cool place to chill and watch a game or two.

Would have given this 1 star review but as a restaurant assistant manager I understand how much these metrics matter.

The service today was sub par to say the best. I went in with my family before the ball to grab a bite to eat. There was 9 of us which is a good size over lunch without a call first, when we showed up there was 1 other table in the restaurant. We ordered 4 pizzas and an app, 3 pizzas were brought out to the table leaving my mother, brother and I without our food. When we brought it to their attention the server said “oh we had to run next door to grab the chicken” why were we not told this before hand? What does this have to do with our app that didn’t have chicken? When asked they said that our food had not been started yet and our family had finished eating already. We were offered nothing as compensation. They said they were short staffed but there was a woman in a plaid shirt (not certain of her position but I believe she was a manager) who sat behind the bar doing nothing and drinking her lemonade. A simple “I’m sorry for the inconvenience” would have avoided this review all together.

No comment on the food as we did not get any, we cancelled our order and left. No compensation and barely an apology for the inconvenience. Do not plan on going back as they didn’t give us a reason to want to.

I actually really liked this place! I finally caught it at the right time (hour before, during, and after games) and there weren't many people there. It was basically little caesars pizza if it were done in a non commercialized way. The ingredients were fresh and and were not heavy like some pizzas one might be used to. Definitely would visit more (even though I wish it was open more often. )

Really friendly and responsive staff. Nice, calm atmosphere for a pizza place at a huge venue. REALLY DELICIOUS AND WELL MADE FOOD.
