Motor City Soul Food

Food was worth standing in line! Traveled to the city for track meet and we researched different soul food restaurants. My family & I are so happy we chose this one!! This food is definitely Pittsburgh approved. Thank you Motor City :)

Long lines but they try to get you in and out expeditiously. They have a great selection of soul food that is fresh and hot for lunch and dinner. Customer service is much better and the portions are nice for the price. Meats are always tender, sides are fresh, recipes seem consistent overall!

It was an okay experience. My server had a nasty attitude and I'm not sure why. I am a Supervisor so I know all too well that customer service means everything. Not only did she have a nasty attitude the lady that I actually paid for my order with had to tell her she forgot part of my order. Which to me is strange because I did not order anything complicated. I ordered one meat and two sides. I know some people don't like their food to touch and ask for things in separate containers but I mentioned no so such thing. She put one meat and one side in my box. Once the cashier opened the box and mentioned it to her her response was, "oh, I knew I had forgotten something". Really? I went during the middle of the day on a TUESDAY. There was no one behind me. The next customer did not come in until after I paid and was waiting for my food. I would have been more considerate if it was midday on a Sunday because the line is usually wrapped around the restaurant.

The food is GREAT. The food options are GREAT. My customer service was GREAT. It makes me sick when people leaving reviews make nasty comments about the staff. The staff at this place is fast paced and NON STOP. They know what they are doing and they get you in and out QUICK! They don’t have time to chitchat! You have an AMAZING hard working staff that deals with hundreds of attitudes all day every day. I drive over an hour to get here and it is always on point! Don’t let the line scare you, they have about 6 of their staff taking orders at the same time.
