Overall, Mudgie's is a great place for lunch. There is a wide variety of sandwiches for all dietary preferences. The wait staff is friendly, and attentive. The food is delicious, as well as having a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The tiki-themed garden area is cozy, albeit a little kitsch. I'd recommend you expect to spend at least an hour here to get your food. If I do have one knock against them, it's that the food is very pricey. A sandwich and ships for 1 will put you over $15. Nonetheless, the food is delicious and the atmosphere welcoming enough that I'll forgive the price.
This place was everything!!! The patio was very comfortable even though it was hot and ready outside. We visited for lobster week and the lobster roll was delicious. Very decadent and the macaroni salad was to die and return for!! We had the lobster and wine deal for 55 bucks and lobster bisque. Our waitress was wonderful. She made sure she checked on us from time to time and was very efficient with our orders. I ordered corned beef and swiss to go no chance of trying that today I'm stuffed but I'll review on that later!????
Mudgie's was awesome. Split the namesake sandwich with a friend, alongside the Congress. Both sandwiches were fantastic. The service was attentive and not overbearing, and the outdoor seating was comfortable and plentiful. I definitely look forward to coming back. I have a whole plethora of sandwiches to try out and a brunch menu I barely even glanced at.
Absolutely loved this place. Katie the bartender was awesome and helped us pick out great drinks, sandwiches and sides. We even signed up for the rewards program because of her. I'm definitely excited to come back for brunch. Great, quirky place. Sandwiches were absolutely delicious, I really loved the Brooklyn sandwich. Macaroni salad was delicious and I preferred that offer the potato salad but both were great. Iced coffee was really delicious as well.
I went here with my daughter and a couple of her friends when I was visiting the Detroit area. We had drinks that you see in the picture that are really cute. We also had lunch that everybody enjoyed. I got the chicken Caesar wrap which I thought was really good, and my daughter and her friends got some greasy sandwiches that they thoroughly enjoyed! I would recommend this place if you are visiting Detroit.
