Norma G's

Outstanding from the call for reservations through walking out after supper with a sense of satisfaction, enjoyment and a smile. The first contact was the friendly phone conversation when making reservations. They were oh so welcoming. We got there a few mins early and they seated us right away. The service was attentive and responsive. The drinks (cocktails as well as non-alcoholic) were tasty and fun. The main courses were amazing! Jerk, Curry, etc were all so flavorful and we'll prepared. Presentation did not disappoint. We had 5 different mains and everyone raved at the meal. Can't wait to go back. Wonderful place.

It's a small place, but great atmosphere and great food. The staff were polite and very helpful. I had a great time. I ordered the Caribbean jerk chicken. It came with red beans and rice and cabbage. Let me tell you, that cabbage tasted better than I imaged. I almost ordered a side of it. My entire meal was good. The mac and cheese is delish also. I don't think there were no complaints at my table.

Thoroughly enjoyed everything about our visit to Norma G's!! The staff are welcoming and the atmosphere is very relaxed. We sampled almost every side and devoured our entrees. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Detroit.

Went to Norma G’s last night and the food was amazing. The service was fast and the environment was friendly. The jerk chicken was tender and seasoned to perfection and the cabbage. We could not stop talking about how good it was. I would recommend this Gem to any and everyone.

I'm not a big eater (anymore) but the portions are small. I ordered (carryout) a curry goat dinner. It has a slightly different taste than most Caribbean restaurant that I go to but it's tasty. When I finished my meal I was still hungry. They put my dinner in a small container, the size that you receive when you have food to take home. I hope they get better!
