KG’s African-American Grill

Great spot, a bit far from my house but I love traveling over and eating here. Their curry goat is great, same with the oxtail, and the fried red snapper. Each dish I've had was phenomenal ????

This is by far one of the best African restaurant I have ever tried in Detroit. The food was delicious. I will definitely be coming back again.

The staff was very friendly. Engaged in a fun conversation with the owner.

Ordered the Grilled Red Snapper and it was seasoned all the way through and was cooked perfectly!! The onion sauce that was paired with it was a great complement to the light spice if the fish!

Will be back to try more!!

The food is always fresh, large portions, and fairly priced. The service feels personal and inviting, even when leaving it felt like walking out of a family members house as the gentleman waved and wished us well on our way out the door. They are also kid friendly. The restaurant and bathroom is clean and well kept. Curry Chicken is tender and juicy, rice and beans flavored to perfection. Plantain ripe and fried with the edges crispy and sweet. The chicken pies are also a must. Wash it down with some fresh juice and you will sleep well. This place is a family favorite for us.
