Smokies Grosse Ile On The Water Downriver MI

Since they closed the one in Wyandotte I've been craving their pizza I decided to drive to Gross Ile and check out this location. The have indoor and outdoor seating we sat inside near the bar. The servers were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was very clean the owner was actively helping out the staff and asked us how our meat was. I'm excited to go back and try other food.

Delicious food and wonderful service (forgot to order the chips but brought us an extra salad)

I know it was a Friday night and they were super busy. We waited our turn patiently. I ordered the Santa Fe Salad. After a long wait the waitress brought my (small) salad without any chicken or bacon. It looked like a side salad. I asked a different waitress isn't it missing meat. She took it back in the kitchen and add chicken breast. I asked again, isn't it supposed to have bacon. I was told no. I waited long and we were hungry so I decided to eat it. We paid the bill and left. I checked the menu when we were leaving, and bacon is supposed to be on the Santa Fe salad! Disappointed.

pretty good! their calamari and chocolate cake was excellent!

Good atmosphere, enjoyed sitting on the stone walled terrace. Appreciate that we could dock our boat. Delicious food, friendly service. Only down side is that they were out of my first choice items on the menu.
