Ok, I get why people are digging this place. The doner sandwich is phenomenal! It's made in the served in Germany. I was stationed in Berlin and wow, I was addicted to them. It's great to find these locally. They are $9.00 each but worth it. The last two I bought were a bit smaller than the previous ones (the cost of success), but it's still a two meal sandwich. Highly recommend. Get the spicy version for a bit of a kick.
My first time trying a Doner Kabob and I can say that i enjoyed it! I really liked the dense bread and thought the side of fries was only OK. Anything that I can say to have made my experience better are simply trivial like ice should be served in the water.
Just a warning, the place is very quaint place and you easily pass if you not diligent. Service is responsive and quick.
I will head back!
One of only 2 Döner places I've ever found in the States. Not bad, the bread was especially good. Fries could be a bit better but the options if drink were quite good with traditional fruit juices and Turkish coffee. Quite a traditional atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but very friendly. Reasonable prices.
The food is excellent. However, you must be willing to wait. On our visit, we waited 30 minutes to place our order then another 30 for the food to arrive. That said, we did go during lunch on a Friday, so maybe they weren’t prepared to be that busy. I imagine going during “off times” would be better.
Sunday evening after the newspaper article. Spoke to the owner and she said she was expecting the article to come out later. Either way it was insanely busy and the staff was trying to keep up. Our ticket got lost in the mix and the owner was very sweet and let us enjoy a free Turkish Coffee and dessert because of it. I think these people care and they were trying but they were overwhelmed. I'll be back after things calm down. My Doner Kebab was great and worth it!
