Fat Daddy's HOT Chicken & Waffles

$13 for the Mac Daddy it was ready on time, clean atmosphere. Ordered it extra hot (1 level below max heat!) and it packed a spicy punch but not too hot (for me).

Very delicious and good portion. Fries are probably the best I've had in a while. The kids ate their tenders, fries, waffles so overall this is a great hidden gem. Will be back soon.

My daughter enjoyed the chicken mac n cheese fries. They were a hit. The catfish was crunchy and taste great with the tarter sauce.

If you like chicken I would definitely recommend you chicken this place out. I had the Mac daddy and it slapped….no pun intended. Only I didn’t give 5 stars because it was a little greasy.
The stay was amazing, the lady helping us knew the business and you can tell she love working there. All around this place was awesome, can’t wait to go back.

If you're looking for what perhaps is the best chicken sandwich in the Metro Detroit area (maybe the entire state of Michigan) then you literally have to look no further than Fat Daddy's. That may sound like a bold statement, but the food here is incredibly good, and with everyone and their mother serving their own version of a classic chicken sandwich these days, it's easier than ever to get lost in the chicken abyss. Here, the chicken speaks for itself, and that's literally all that needs to be said.

But wait there's more!

I want to back up for a quick second, and explain that if you haven't heard of this place or are skeptical that's cool because so was I. This particular location is brand new, but the Fat Daddy's brand isn't. They have a few other locations sprinkled throughout Metro Detroit which is a good thing for everyone. I honestly had never even heard of this place until I received one of their mailers in what I would normally consider to be my daily stack of junk mail. Typically I just recycle these things, but the name and logo caught my eye so I did a quick google search, found the website, and based upon what I saw, I knew I needed to try the food, and boy am I glad that I did.
In fact, I will say that this is one of the few places where the food actually looked similar when I got it to what it did being advertised, which is something you pretty much never run across these days.

This location (I'm not sure about the others as I have not been to them) is designed to be a quick grab and go take out spot so it isn't really a place that you're going to sit down and hangout and have lunch with friends, which to me is perfect. This location is small, but also big enough to accommodate enough people that it doesn't feel too cramped while you're waiting for your order. It's also clean, and well kept (yes I realize it's brand new but still worth mentioning). The employees here are friendly, professional and efficient and that really helps for making it a quick, easy and painless in and out takeout experience.

When all is said and done, you shouldn't just take my word for it, you should go experience one (or more) of these chicken sandwiches yourself, and then you'll see that I'm not far off in my description of how good they really are.

Anyone can make a chicken sandwich, but not everyone should. Once you go Fat, you'll never go back.

I ordered the two piece catfish dinner with fries and Mac n cheese. Customer service was very good. The catfish fillets were great, fried fresh, seasoned well and big in size. The fries were ok. But I must say that the 5 cheese macaroni was absolutely terrible, the noodles were very soggy, bland with barely any cheese in it. I'm a huge lover of Mac n cheese and this was one of the worse. You guys need to revisit the decision to go with this recipe or maybe how long you hold the Mac n cheese. I wasn't expecting it to taste as good homemade but Jesus Christ it should taste better than Kraft box macaroni and cheese and it didn't.
