Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

Excellent chicken and sides. My wife loved the Mac n Cheese. Good service also. Only downside was that they were out of pies.

Don't go here expecting Hattie B's Nashville Hot Chicken. Yes it's hot chicken but it's Gus's take on hot with soul. The huge breast I had was a deep carmel brown on the outside sitting on a slice of white bread and juicy and flavorful on the inside. Paired with mac & cheese and coleslaw it was a great meal that I'm already looking forward to having again soon. Oh and the service was wonderful. You can tell that everyone there enjoys what they do and takes pride in their work.

This is a great chicken place. It has the ambience of a 70's Southern chicken shack. Soul food side orders and beer in forties, the chairs, stools and tables don't match. Chicken is spicy and the greens are filling. Soul music and blues is the music of choice. Come empty and leave full.

Hands down best chicken and mac and cheese I’ve ever had! My boyfriend and I ordered the chicken tenders and half chicken meal with a side of mac and cheese and a slice of the coconut pie. The coleslaw was also probably the best I’ve ever had, very creamy. Everything was beyond delicious. The spicy coating on the chicken was delicious and just the right amount of heat. You can really tell that everything is homemade and fresh. I can’t wait to try other sides and pies!

The inside was a lot larger than I expected. The vaulted ceiling and nice granite countertop bar area was really nice. They have several seats at their bar to dine at as well as tables. They have beer available as well. The staff is very friendly, especially Samantha. I chatted with her while I waited for my carry out. The manager was very friendly as well. Everything is very clean and organized, I was very impressed.

I will definitely be back and I highly recommend you give it a try!
