“Great ice cream options. The ultimate chocolate malt was excellent. They even do pup cups for your puppies. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back when in the area.”

“They've done a really good job with this place. The building is nicely built. Many good offerings including sandwiches, ice cream and many baked goods. It also has some gifts for purchase. It won't seem like a tourist trap, but it kind of is. Or offers itself up as that along with a practical, reasonably priced eatery. My understanding is they'll be making their own ice cream eventually and I look forward to trying that sometime.”

“Small town bar with some funny shirts. Not very woke and gonna need to grow some tough skin if you are sensitive to dark humor. Nice little hole in the wall, but the bartender was not a very helpful guy to the girls in the group that had a few questions. He was more the tell me what you want and get it kinda guy.”

“Clean, fast excellent food. From the time I entered the door, sat down and ordered I had my food in 10 mins. Eggs, perfectly done. Bacon is exactly how I ordered it. Very generous helping hash browns. Rye toast!! I can't wait to try lunch here.”

“Burgers are delicious and fresh, cooked to order. Service is fast. I try to stop by once a month or so. A medium is satisfying for me but my husband prefers the large. The only downside of this place is no fries. 🍟 Only take out. There are a couple of outside tables.”

“If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. It's clean, it looks great inside, there is cool history to the building, and everything we ordered was great. I especially liked their ranch dressing. Hunter, our bartender, was fun and full of information about the place. We will be back and I would strongly encourage others to come here.”

“Went here for my wife’s birthday since they offer a free entree for birthdays with ID. She had the Combo Sub and she said it was delicious and loved the fresh sliced meat instead of the stereotypical deli meat. I had the half rack of ribs and they were phenomenal perfect kiss of smoke fall off the bone tender and perfectly seasoned bbq sauce, the fries were awesome double fried and homemade. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu”

“We went here for breakfast on our way out of town. Very cool old building with original seats and tile. Staff was nice. Food was very good. They even offer gluten free bread dog toast. Several breakfast specials for $7-$8 with coffee included. Very interesting atmosphere. Good food, real eggs!”

“The custard was very delicious and so reasonable. The employee was very friendly. I would recommend this place. You can also get a swirl dish or cone. The mint and vanilla was delicious.”

“Yummy food! Fast service! Nice, friendly staff! And very reasonably price! The only constructive comment I have is: my husband got pulled pork & he said it was okay, but if it's going to be served not in sandwich form, maybe serve it plain with a different sauce, maybe BBQ, on the side. We will most definitely be back though! Sidenote: my husband ended up mixing the pulled pork with his Mac & cheese, as seen in the photo.”

“I love supporting local restaurants and it's safe to say this one will get A LOT of my support whenever I'm in town! Tried it and went back soon after for more! Chicken was great and the Fried Ravioli was the best 🔥 food came out fast and fresh too. Definitely will come back. Support local businesses!”

“I have a high bar when it comes to Mexican food, so take this review as you will. The ambiance is good. Busy, noisy restaurant. At least the night we ate there. The hostess was amazing, great hugs! About a 30 min wait until we were seated, not bad. Our server was not very attentive. We saw him 4 times. When we ordered, delivered drinks and chips, delivered the meal, and delivered the check. It was busy, but he passed by our table many times. Our booth seat was like a teeter totter, We bounced every time the people in the next booth sat or shifted. The men's bathroom was falling apart, air freshener on the floor, no paper towels, and the stall lock wouldn't hold. Aside from all of that, the food was the biggest downfall. The Swiss Enchilladas had processed Swiss cheese from cellophane topping the dish, very little Verde sauce, and the filling was over salted. The Mole was very high in salt and almost inedible. The chicken nachos were good, and the salsa was good. The chori qeuso was mostly oil/grease. There aren't a lot of choices this far north, but my recommendation is to avoid this one.”

“Probably some of the best pizza I have had at a restaurant. The pizza is Detroit style with the most delicious crust and scrumptious toppings. The salads are delicious too. The staff is friendly too. I will definitely return there on my next visit to the area.”

“Place is very clean. Lots of seating for a smaller shop. They were out of brisket so we got a burger, burger bowl and a pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese. All I can say is yum!!! We will be back. Highly recommended. Edit: Got the brisket plate today. WOW that was fantastic. I lived in Texas for 2 years and this beats every place down there that I went to. And I'd you like coleslaw, do yourself a favor and get it. The Granny Smith apples bring it up a new level.”

“Nisu Bakery & Cafe lets you experience Finnish charm. Delightful fragrances of rich coffee, authentic Finnish soups, salads, & sandwiches, and friendly welcomes complement displays of freshly made pastries and colorful imported ceramics and textiles. Spending time here helps visitors understand why Finland has been rated the world's happiest place for six consecutive years.”

“Coming highly recommended by friends who lived in Houghton for a long time, this breakfast and lunch diner didn't disappoint. With Finnish roots and flare in the food, you'll find sweet and savory breakfast options, baked goods, and more. The service was fast and friendly and the food delivered as expected. A true "up north" diner with great people, great food, great atmosphere, and affordable prices!”

“Great "Mom and Pop" restaurant with delicious food! Best breakfast out we've had in a very, very long time!! We had the corn beef hash (came with 3!!eggs) and sourdough toast, a HUGE homestyle pancake, homemade biscuits and gravy with fluffy scrambled eggs and yummy, smokey bacon. Homey, small town vibe with friendly staff. Extra large portions, with amazing prices. Cash only, so come prepared. ATM at the local grocery just down the street (worth the extra stop for sure). Would definitely come back!”

“Went there twice in two weeks for fish fry. Perch the 1st time haddock the second time and wife had shrimp both times. Fish was good both times, ask...for a second tarter sauce. Wife's shrimp was under cooked on our second visit, my wife complained and they made her another order no hassle at all. Nice quiet place with all patrons using their inside voices. The fish is decent. Potato fries or potato wedges, coleslaw and small piece of bread come with. I think wedges cost a little more. I haven't had anything else from their menu at this point. I'd recommend Copper Mine to my friends.”

“Love this place!! The sandwiches are so delicious! What makes these sandwiches so yummy is the homemade toasted ciabatta bread. I've tried 3 of their sandwiches, my favorite being the Bahama Mama. I love that sweet cream cheese and yummy jelly. The picture shown is the Cuban. The pork on this sandwich was my favorite, it paired so well with the pickles and mustard! I also got a cinnamon toast crunch Milkshake! The BEST cinnamon Milkshake I've ever had. The cereal did get soggy by the end of it, but that sweet, caramel cinnamon goodness made it all worth it. A must-try if you love cinnamon and cereal. Overall, you must go and try something! I will say the prices are a bit on the expensive side. It cost me a little over $17 for a sandwich and a small Milkshake. The sandwiches could easily be split between 2 because they stuff them so full! A great place to go when you need a homemade breakfast, lunch, or sweet tooth craving satisfied!”

“Had some great meals here. The cheese curds are fantastic! I'm not sure what kind of pepper sauce they have at the tables but it definitely has a kick to it. Definitely on our list of places to go back to when we are in the area.”

“Natural cut fries were AMAZING! Onion rings were great, especially when dipped in the thick, tangy ranch sauce they give you. Sandwich's were pretty tasty too.”

“We are visiting the university with our daughter. This was such a great place to eat. The food was absolutely fantastic. The owner also has board games available to use while you wait, through the wait was very reasonable. We played battleship and had such a good family time. My husband ordered the Chicago beef. He gave it 5 stars. I ordered the pita cheese beef with medium amount cheese. It was amazing. It came with this gravy for dipping and I could drink that as a soup. It was amazing good! My daughter got the personal pizza. It was Pizza Hut size but she says it was good. Our bill was $32 for all three meals and drinks. So good. We will be stopping by again.”

“Very nice place. Apple harvest salad was great and their specialty soup was good. Not busy at all when we arrived at 530 but it did get busy. Nice views too. Seems they are a little slow. Wait staff or kitchen staff idk which.”

“Everyone is super kind and sweet. I laughed when another guest said, "Did you just take a picture of your food? Now we know you aren't from around here." Haha! Victoria's Kitchen is a diner serving breakfast all day. The price is amazing and the food was filling. I had coffee and our total was $15 since the pancakes were a special. We shared the Finnish pancakes and Western omelet. The Finnish pancake reminds me of a dutch baby pancake but thicker with more custard. I really liked it especially with the berry topping. The omelet had the egg on top of the traditional stuffings, so it is not mixed together or tightly wrapped. When my friend and I travel we always get different dishes and share so we can try more things. I would suggest that and I would definitely come back to try more things!”

“What a great place — a really warm and inviting cafe. Excellent barista and OUTSTANDING coffee drinks with homemade flavoring syrups (I had the vanilla bean, and it was delicious without being cloying.) Plus they had the attached photo posted in the women’s bathroom. ”

“Lil Bo's had an authentic "up north" or "northwoods" vibe. It was busy, but the bartenders and kitchen staff were hustling as well as friendly. The beer was cold and the food was great. I recommend the fried greed tomatoes. The chicken strips were great too.”

“Super local hang out kind of place. The bartender was kind, knowledgeable, and honest. I recently moved to TC and have been looking for a low-key place to just chat with people. This is it. They offer typical bar food, everything tastes great but it's not great for you. 😉 The pours are generous, and the bar was clean. There are pool tables and dining booths in the back. There's also a "wall of smallies" that any fisherman will appreciate!”
