MC's Taphouse Lino Lakes

Cool new spot in Lino Lakes. Not much parking and there is a disclaimer on the door about being towed. The vibe is cool on the rooftop. Next summer the place will be a party.
Our server Kevin was great, fun personality and good food recommendations. We ordered the Boursin burger, the Buffalo chicken Mac N cheese, the PB & J Thai sauce ,chicken sandwich and the blue cheese burger ( which came out way later than everyone else’s food) they discounted that dish. Everything was Tasty but the star of the dinner was the Dilly fries, get the fries. They’re more like thick sliced potato chips or thin sliced wedge fries.. but that flavor will have you craving them for a late night snack, delish!

Nice place, great rooftop patio! Food was okay, a little dry on the PB & J chicken. Nachos were excellent.

So my other half and I were looking for a new place to go eat because we’re both foodies and variety is the spice of life. So we looked for a place somewhat far from home so we could enjoy a nice evening ride to and from the place we choose. So we looked at the menu, and some of the ratings and decided to give this place a try. The fact that it has a rooftop made us want to give it a try even more.

So we walked in, it wasn’t busy down stairs but it was pretty on the rooftop. So a young lady greeted us and asked us where we would like to sit and took us to our table. Our server who didn’t give us her name asked us what we wanted for drinks so we gave her our drink order and also ordered the chicken lettuce wraps for an appetizer. The chicken lettuce wraps weren’t anything special, I also didn’t care for the water chestnuts in it.

Our food arrived to our table I ordered the pan fried Walleye, with garlic butter broccoli and tater tots. My server asked about the broccoli and they said it was already on my order and if I wanted another side. So I chose tater tots and when it came out there was no broccoli. They were going to make it since the cooks forgot to include it, however I told them after almost being finished eating my walleye it didn’t make since to eat the broccoli alone.

Also the walleye tasted like it was cooked in old oil, I didn’t like it much at all. Had it not been for the basil pesto aioli I wouldn’t have been able to stomach the walleye. A manager came to ask how everything was and I told her how I felt about the walleye and that it had a taste of being cooked in old grease and she said that’s not good I’m going to go back and look into this. Well the manager never returned nor did they offer us a discount or let us know their findings. Lastly my girl order the 3 alarm burger and didn’t care much for it, she said it had a taste of being cooked too long.

Now the decor was nice, the bathroom was clean, and I loved the way the bar was set up with the televisions all around the bar. I loved the place and the server but the fact that management didn’t try to rectify the situation so for that I will not be returning.

Been here a few times. First time was good, the chicken wings were good and i like that they do homeade sauces. They described it has a fancy american resturant.
The second time i wanted to check out the patio, its huge! Our server was young and new, she was all over the place and seemed to be lost. She didnt come around too much but i understand being new. Its nice with a full size bar and plenty of seating. The menu though was smaller on the patio. We ordered the dill cheese curds, the fish tacos and the chicken apple wrap. The cheese curds were over seasoned and were so strong we had them remake it. The fish tacos were all breading and so much sauce my mouth was on FIRE! The chicken wrap was my favorite. Super refreshing and perfect amount of everything. Id order that again. Not sure what limits the patio menu from downstairs, some items didnt make much sense to me.
The last time i was in i tried the duck wontons which doesnt get served on the patio and they were GREAT. Recomend trying those.
Im sure ill be back to try different items. The atmosphere is great!
