Sammy's Pizza & Restaurant - Cloquet

The food here is good, if you ever get it. I went out with my family to eat, and I got my food first. It took the waitress 10+ minutes to come and ask how our food was, and while you usually could chalk that up to her simply being busy, she sat there talking with three other waitresses. When she finally came around, we found out she didn't even put our garlic bread order in. My grandma's coffee was lukewarm when she got it, and I finished my food before they even got the garlic bread or pizza on the table.

The food was delicious, but the service was honestly bad.

Edit: the waitress took off the garlic bread, which was appreciated, but honestly her service was pretty sad.

Sammy's has always has the best pizza! They're buffet is a little skimpier than the West Duluth location which is all okay. The food is good and I always leave full????

Where this Sammy’s is unique is that they have the buffet on Saturday night until 8:30pm. I’ve never seen a Sammy’s buffet on Saturday night. It was excellent. Good pizza selection. Great wings. Good salad bar. And the pizza was delicious as always.

If the buffet is every Saturday night, I’ll be stopping at Cloquet Sammy’s more often when I’m in the Duluth area for different weekends. It is worth the drive out to Cloquet.

This is straight nostalgia right here. I always have to get a Sammy's pizza when I am around the area. Takes me right back to my childhood. Mike the owner is great and and never makes a bad pie. The entire staff is so polite and helpful. Great family place. Definitely go try this place out.

Went for noon buffet. Good salad bar, pizza, wings and soup. Pizza not as good as I remember from Sammy's in the 1970's but still darn good. Polite waitress. Nice new venue. Amended review, they significantly lowered price for lunch buffet and improved quantity of cheese and toppings.
