Tequila Butcher

We were seated in the heated patio because the place was completely full and at a 45 minute wait for a table in the main room at 5pm on a Sunday. Absolutely crazy.
The heated patio is quite heated, but my feet still got very cold. The patio is attached to the 21+ only swanky bar at the back of the restaurant. The back bar has a different drinks menu, including a massive Japanese whiskey selection.
The food was good, but the menu was confusing. A "smoked meat plate" is actually a build your own taco plate. And for some reason they are really plugging the shared breads on both pages of the menu. Some menus had the drinks menu, some didn't. They actually ran out of menus for the table behind us.
Our server was nice but very slow compared to others, even totally forgetting about one of our drinks. But, it was very busy in there.

Cool atmosphere and great happy hour after 9pm. I had their margarita it was amazing, as well as chips and salsa and Mexican corn bread. I was also able to try smoke chicken, smoked pork and jackfruit tacos and they were probably the best tacos I have ever had. They definitely know what they are doing here!

Kelly was really sweet and right on top of refilling my water. I'd give her five stars. The restaurant itself? Well, they live up to the first part of their name but not the second part of their name, because they didn't have much of a meat selection. If you want to drink though, they have pages of alcoholic drinks to choose from. Their dessert, however, was wonderful. I like my meats and sweets.

Couldn’t tell this was a soft opening! Food was amazing! The smoke chicken tacos were so flavorful. Staff did such a great job! Can’t wait to come back and try something new. Welcome to the neighborhood!
