Barajas Mexican Grill and Cantina

The food is good and the service is ok. They are under new management now and things have really improved. I'm looking forward to seeing how they develop. I want to be able to go to local place for good Mexican.

The food was good, general Mexican fare, nothing really different than elsewhere. Would order again but most likely only takeout in the future. In the restaurant there were my party of 3 and 2 other tables. One table soon left so literally 2 tables and 2 waitresses. We got our drinks timely, order taken and food delivered timely. A short time later the checks were brought to the table. After that we were completely ignored. No asking about refills, no clearing plates, no asking if we wanted dessert. Both waitresses sat at the bar and played on their cell phones. We talked for about 20 or 30 minutes after we finished our meal and we had no idea if were supposed to pay at the table or not as again, zero communication with our waitress. We finally got up and paid her at the bar and there were no questions asked about how our meal was or anything. I DID see the bartender had a few patrons and he was very attentive and friendly with them.

Had chicken fajitas and they were very good. Service was amazing and quick and friendly. I like the organic margarita as it isn’t super sweet and, hey, it’s organic so good for you right? but my friend had the normal one and she liked it. I know they got off to a bad start with not enough help and overwhelmed but give them another chance. It’s hard to find help around here, especially in summer. The chips and salsa were good too.

Great food & service when we went. Great selection of tequilas. Only been open a few weeks but things seem to be coming together well. Keep up the good work.
