Sanag Restaurant

This place was absolutely wonderful. The service was amazing and the food was great. I had not tried Somali food before, but I am very glad I did. The woman who took our order was very helpful and even showed us what some of the dishes looked like before we ordered. The portions were large, which made them perfect for sharing, and all the food had incredible flavor. We ended up trying the Camel-meat special, which was tender and well seasoned. If you are in the area, I suggest giving this place a try.

Had camel meat for the first time (well had camel burger somewhere else before but was meh 😕)
We ordered the camel meat on top of a bed of rice. The Somali rice was as good as any other Somali rice you'd get in an Eastern African restaurant in the Twin Cities area.
But the star of the show was the camel meat. It was really tender and full of flavor. I will definitely go back there to have it again and try their other dishes .
Make sure to order their Maraq which is their soup.
The Somali tea wasn't so good.

This was some of the most amazing food we've ever had. The owner and employees were so friendly and helpful with suggestions of what to order, and everything we ate was a 10 out of 10. Our favorite was the beef suquaar and the chicken kutilati. And the beef sambusas were to die for. Seriously cannot recommend this place enough!

The sambusa were so fresh, hot, and tasty! The staffs are super friendly and even offer me their house soup to try. Definitely coming back!
