Very busy the last two visits on a week night (4 people in our party) and weekend night(2 people in our party). Staff attentive and nice, but service slow to take orders, refill drinks, and kitchen must be under-staffed as it took about an hour from ordering to food delivery to table. Reasonable portion sizes and good tasting burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers. Daily specials available. Happy to have this location in Lake City and grateful for the staff working hard to make it a good dining experience. Lastly, we appreciated the nice, new dock to boat over to dinner. Thank you!
Very impressed, especially considering it’s recently reopened under new management. Both our meals were excellent, our server did a great job with a packed Friday night crowd. Enjoyed the bartenders as well as we had our nightcap. The decor is great too. Definitely recommend.
Had lunch today with some friends at Kelly’s Lake House, around 1 pm. Parking lot looked busy but it actually wasn’t crowded at all! We brought our dog so we were seated outside on the patio, which had amazing views of the lake, wildlife, and even the Paddle Boats docking and loading. The staff all seemed happy and friendly, gave us amazing and fast service, and the food was awesome!! Would highly recommend checking it out!
This is not a bash on Kelly's Lake House Bar...but to bring awareness to customer service and the need to act in the moment when things start to go wrong. I took my father for lunch on Saturday, August 28. We arrived, were seated and told they were out of menus but as soon as others left, we would receive 2. 3 other tables were sat after us, all receiving menus and service. We sat for 20 minutes before a server got to us. The server was interrupted by a manager that a table was wanting to pay.. she leaves and comes back. No apology.. We ordered drinks and our food as I suspected the food would take awhile. We received our food before our drinks (a Pepsi and a Summer Shandy). It took 52 minutes to receive our beverages. Again, no apologies. No checkup on our food. EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE should realize the importance of a great customer experience. Respond in the moment. Empower your employees. Being a local and reading the write up in the Graphic about them wanting the locals to be happy as they patronize more year round then seasonal visitorsl, I expected more. Disappointing. I've told many friends that travel to the area or own condos in the same building to stay away for awhile. It clearly needs help with service and staffing. It's the small things that matter.
