Mavericks Wood Grill

OMG...so good. The bloody Mary is delicious (home made mix) with cheeses and meat stick, meatloaf good, fried cauliflower and lettuce wraps AMAZING. I want to come back and try the wood fire chicken! Definitely coming back

They "were" known for their andouille corn chowder. Were.

We found this place on a whim around a year ago. The waiter told us they were known for their corn chowder. We tried it & it. was. phenomenal! Went back this week, with a specific hankering for another heaping bowl of chowder. But it was not on the menu. Speaking with the waitstaff... they will not be bringing it back on their regular menu.

Their food is fair. I do give them props for creativity. You will find many of their items stand out from the cookie cutter mold of these types of establishments. The smoky flavor is definitely present, but not overpowering.

Sadly for me, I probably will not be back since their "famous" chowder is no more. :(

Great neighborhood bar and grill. Good food. Wings a specialty. Lot's of tap beers and fair prices.

We were out with our little dog and drove by this place while looking for a restaurant. Asked if dogs were allowed. Happily they are. We had an enjoyable dinner. We were helped immediately, and the waiter was attentive. Someone brought a bowl of water for our dog, which was so thoughtful!
Later, another employee asked if he could bring a dog treat. Very pet friendly I'd say.
Also we really liked the food. All was good, and now we have a new place to go. We sat outside, but the inside looks really interesting. There's a main dining room and a separate lounge with a bar and more casual feel.
