This place usually has a line out the door. Was able to squeeze in one day and tried it out. Not too bad; not that great either. It was just average for me. I tried their Machete; an 18 inch quesadilla with two choices of meat, Oaxaca cheese, sour cream and lettuce. As I waited for the food to arrive I failed to grab any of their sauces. However; I like to judge a food on it's own prior to saucing it up. By itself, the Machete just didn't do it for me. It may work for others, but it just wasn't for me. When I go back I'll try the tacos and see if there is another star in their future review.
Have been here several times now and really like the food. It is fresh, flavorful and authentic. If you're going for lunch, go early. The restaurant is small and usually packed.
This place is worth visiting. They have big portions for convenient prices. Always neat and with good vibes. Would recommend to others.
Pretty good. Service was nice and fast. We went during lunch so as you'd expect it was quite busy. We ordered the machete, which was like over a foot long, ordered the Bowl, and tamales. With the machete you can add 2 different types of meat. With the Bowl you can add one. We were lucky to find seating since it was so busy. Loved that they have a little bar filled with different spice sauces for your order. You can fill them up in convenient cups to go too. The machete taco was crispy, juicy, and not overwhelmingly stuffed where you can't pick it up to eat. The taco Bowl was delicious. I love spicy so I added a lot of sauces. Had a lot of left overs since it was so filling. It was the first time trying this place out and we were very pleased.
Was actually taken back at how good it actually was. My girlfriend and I where looking for a taco spot Friday night and all of them seemed to be closed at 10pm. Luckily this place came up and was open until Midnight. We went in and the place was nice and spacious, but the food was actually really good! Usually I’m skeptical of places that say they are authentic street tacos, but this place actually delivers. Their menu is also great with a variety of options. Only down side is they did take a bit long to get our food out and the prices are higher than most places. But that’s about all the negative I could find. Solid place for tacos and tamales!
