El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant

I’m not a fan of “Americanized Mexican food” but this place is authentic. Reasonable prices and portions. This place is delicious, I will gladly make the 30 minute drive to eat here when I’m craving Mexican food. They also have fast service! Also, you know it’s an authentic place when Latinos eat here, I saw several families.

This place is amazing! I eat here frequently. Every single time, the food is hot and the service is outstanding. They have excellent Mexican food and go above and beyond for their customers!

The food; authentic, the atmosphere, a combo of calm and comfy. It's hard to find good Mexican food in the Midwest, being a transplant from Southern California. What I will say is El Rodeo just got a new regular. The only question is, what am I eating next!?!?

Living in the Twin Cities you have the opportunity to eat at every cuisine and restaurant imaginable. However, my husband and I all too frequently find ourselves at El Rodeo because the food cannot be beat! Food and service is top notch and we never leave disappointed, even on busy nights. Bad reviews on this establishment are unwarranted and simply not true. Try it out for yourself! Recommendations: Cheese Dip, Nachos Fajita, and Chicken Burritos (we order the same thing every time because it's so good)

My wife and I enjoy El Rodeo and frequently eat there.  The indoor dining is nice, yet we particularly enjoy their outdoor patio (weather permitting during Minnesota's too short warm weather season).  

If you're like us and like to eat later in the evening with fewer crowds, keep in mind their happy hour ends at 8:00 pm (at least recently).  Also, the kitchen closes at 10:00 pm during the week but they're gracious and don't push you out right away.

All the food and service we've had there over the years has been good.  Hard to beat their margaritas and chips!
