Banh Appetit

Used to be a regular at the old location during undergrad and recently tried out the new spot in Dinkytown on a visit to the Twin Cities. Awesome fries as usual and a damn good sandwich as well.

Previously at a different location Banh Appetit is a favorite with our family. I believe the fries are the best tasting in the Twin Cities. The other food options are tasty as well. Unfortunately their new location isn't quite as close to the U of M campus but it's well worth the walk/drive.

DELICIOUS fries and dipping sauce :)!! The mock dock was okay. I still much prefer Lu's Sandwiches version. I think next time I'll try the tofu! The price was also a little higher than expected - I paid around $12 for a lunch combo. Overall I had a very positive first experience here and will be back with adjusted expectations.

I tried both mock duck curry and the tofu variant and I loved them, better than many banh mi places I have had food at. Oh and their fries, awesome and super crisp. Definitely coming back for more. One of the best banh mi places in twin cities.

Thank you for returning! When I was in graduate school I went to the former location frequently and was so disappointed when it closed. When I heard it reopened I was thrilled. It is still the same - outstanding! I had the lemongrass chicken wrap - fresh and stuffed with vegetables. Healthy and amazing! And truly the best fries anywhere!! Although I graduated and I am off campus. I will come back regularly.
