Caspian Bistro and Gourmet Marketplace

We have eaten here several times since moving to this area a few years ago. Every experience has been great, and our experience today was nothing short of fantastic. We ordered dinner for pickup, and when we arrived home realized that one of the items we received wasn’t what we ordered (this is the first time that’s ever happened). I called the restaurant and they apologized and promptly made the entree that I had actually intended to get so that we could pick it up ASAP. The food is delicious and the customer service is exceptional. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The service is very good and staff are really friendly. The design and the decoration has taste of Persian atmosphere with beautiful paintings, with a market on the side of the restaurant where you can find fresh Iranian ingredients or delicious pastries hear.

The Caspian is a 40-year tradition here in Minneapolis, and I am embarrassed to say that today was my first visit. That aside, better to have been too late than to have never been at all.

The food is fantastic. I ordered the Dolmeh for an appetizer, Caspian Salad and Falafel for the main course, and the house tea as well as a glass of Doogh for beverages.

The food arrived quickly and was beautifully prepared and arranged. Each bite was filled with even flavor and texture, and I was joyfully filled with almost exactly half to bring home for later.

After dinner, I visited the market and purchased several snacks for friends (Turkish delight and baklava), some tea, and a beautiful copy of the Quran. I was also able to converse briefly with the owner, a kind and smart man and a wonderful conversationalist.

Please visit the Caspian if you have not already. It is well with the visit.

Some of the BEST Persian food in the Midwest! Our family drives up every year just to visit this place and eat the food. The staff is amazing and there's a store connected to the restaurant to shop in!
