Cathay Chow Mein

One of my favorite gems in the wall! I’ve been a customer since I was 11 years old. The food is fresh, good and always hot! I usually get the large chicken fried rice and add shrimp, FIRE!!????????

The absolute best Chinese - American take-out in the Twin Cities. For over 40 years my family has considered this the benchmark for Chinese take-out. Whenever our extended family visits from either coast - Cathay Chow Mein is always a must for them. This is Minneapolis at its best!

The Cathay Special is our family favorite, and they have always exceeded our exceptions.

I love Cathay Chow Mein. I'm 33 years old and I've been going there my entire life. My dad went there when he was a kid and still goes there to this day. He's 72. Great selection. Great sweet and sour sauce. Every order gets free wontons. And everything is cooked fresh. It's just a little hole-in-the-wall that's easy to miss but it is well worth your time.
