Chimborazo

I would eat here every single day. Excellent variety. Loads of specials every week. Great service. Can be busy on weekends, and expect to wait 10-30 minutes for a table. Weeknight dining is much quicker.

There is a strong Ecuadorian community in Minneapolis. And although there are multiple Ecuadorian restaurants in the Twin Cities, I enjoy making the trip to Northeast Minneapolis for this gem. Chimborazo by far is my favorite Ecuadorian restaurant in the Twin Cities. They have an amazing brunch and dinner menu. Also, check out their date night on Wednesdays.

Why do I love this place? Delicious food. Delicious. Delicious! Great service. I love the coziness of the "original" side. Did I mention the food is delicious? Very reasonable as well.

We decided to try a new breakfast spot close to NE Minneapolis, that wasn't a traditional breakfast place. Chimborazo was a great idea. The size of the restaurant was perfect, and the menu was not too overwhelming. True we did stain our necks a little to see food coming from the kitchen, and we had to Google a few items, but that made the overall experience fun. We will definitely be back for dinner one night. Worth noting, the staff was very friendly.

Beer was great, nice patio, nice and clean place. Did I say the beer was great! Than comes the food.... Wow! Nachos are really good, can't remember he name of the burger but it spicy and in a real good way. This place I will go out of my way for too make a 2nd visit. The bonus is my wife liked it as much as I did. A must try.
