Food was very good but the drinks were even better, the last time I was here I saved what I could of my vacation food budget just to get drinks on the second to last night. The people who served me drinks have been nice every time, and they kept me interested with different things to try. If you're staying at the hotel then you should at least stop in once!
Best ever! Large portions! Did you know they make their own honey sourced by their own bees for their honey butter ! Local with love! Try the blue cornbread muffins!
Btw we took it home so yes they do take-outs!
They also feature the best burgers ever!
There is one thing, they must do better on their cocktails. The competition is tough, and I know they will do better! ;)
So the food is good. It's also a hotel restaurant. They have an impressive menu of local brews, and liquors are well presented. My hat is definitely off to the chef though, the flavors are all there. Limited menu of actual food, but what is there tastes good. I regret ordering the steak, mostly because of the meat. Ordered medium but with such a steak I should have gone rare and the sweet sauce was unnecessary. That said their mash was great. My dinner mate's local red fish fry and frittes made me jealous as hell same price and huge portion in comparison.
The actual problem isn't something they can immediately fix and may be something specific to me. It's an open concept restaurant serving a kitchen lounge. So you can feel exposed the entire time and it's hard to talk without feeling that.
