Yumi Japanese Restaurant & Bar - Edina

Spider roll was really really good. The shrimp tempura udon was better than the beef. It was a bit salty but they give you lots of veggies and the tempura is on the side so it won't get too soggy. Service was good and so was the atmosphere.

Edit to add: Management has said a changing table is coming which will definitely change my rating to 5 stars. I’ll keep everybody posted.

Food was wonderful! Service was wonderful! However, my rating drops because I did not see any baby changing tables in any of the bathroom stalls. We did not have our daughter with tonight so it was not an issue, but it’s going to be very hard to come back knowing that there is nowhere to change her. I would love to hear from management about whether there are changing tables coming. Thank you! We want to come back-help us! 😁

Very tasty and unique rolls. They have a good selection of sake. Be aware that when posting this they were serving huge rolls, could be because it is a new location or a thing. Either way, they are a lot to put in your mouth.

We had dinner at Yumi in Southdale last night. The restaurant is beautiful - modern Japanese style. The food was great. It is very fresh and beautifully prepared. Some things are very spicy, but you can have the heat reduced, or have the hot sauce and jalapeños served on the side so that some can add them and others avoid them.

Great food and great service! Went here for our first date night in over a year and had a great time.
I only took away a star because they need to make the entrance more obvious (hint: it's the door under the Yumi sign, ignore the uninviting padlock). It could easily be solved with an A frame sign with daily specials or a cute message. While trying to find the entrance, I ran into another family that was also looking, so I'm not alone. I had to call the restaurant to figure it out.
