Dave's Hot Chicken

Will definitely be coming back here. The chicken was fantastic, and definitely hot. There are several levels to choose from, including mild. We got the extra hot, which was really, really hot. (There's at least one more heat level beyond that) We tried the cauliflower bites, the sandwich with chicken, and the chicken strip. The slaw was really good, and a nice change from typical coleslaw, with the addition of some kale. French fries were the crinkle kind and were nice and crispy. I'm not a huge fan of the Dave's sauce, cuz it's very mayonnaise-tasting, but truly the food was quite good.

I placed an online order for Dave's hot chicken the other day. I hadn't been there before and my daughter like spicy chicken so I decided to give it a shot. For each of us I ordered the 1 slider & 1 tender combo, which comes with fries and bread. I also ordered a side of the mac. Mine medium and my daughter's hot. I arrived at the store to pick up my order and immediately I was greeted by an employee. He asked if I had been there before and I let him know I had a pick up order and my name. He went and grabbed the order. I really appreciated his friendly customer service! My Daughter and I enjoyed our meals very much. The hot was almost too hot for my Daughter, but she finished it! As a sauce person, I enjoyed trying the Dave's sauce,honey and cheese sauce on my chicken (delicious!). I also love the coleslaw on the slider and the pickles. The fries were great, seasoned, but not overly salty. The Mac was decent and disappeared quickly. Overall I think we have found a new favorite and will return soon!

Pretty flavorful chicken, I wasn’t a fan of the Mac and cheese but we both agreed the portions are pretty good. We both ordered our spice level at “Hot” and it took about 20 minutes for our food. The space was small and busy so we had to wait for people to leave for a table to open up. Not a lot of workers in the lobby cleaning tables. However it was good experience.

Food was great. We got the 2 sliders and a fry and everything was solid. We got one medium and one extra hot and we could handle the heat. We also got a single tender which was reaper hot. The husband took one bite and that was it. He cried 😂 10 mins later he was ok after guzzling down a vanilla milkshake which he also liked a lot. I really loved the fries and the fact that all the chicken is halal.

The place was crowded and there was a line all the way to the door and not enough space to sit but we managed to snag a table. Traffic moved fast as people ate and left.

Honest review! This spot is new. It’s decorated like you’re in a comic and I love it and the high ceilings that make it feel less congested.

Staff: They are friendly and they are working very hard and are busy. It’s insanely busy here.

Food: The chicken is good. It is covered in dry rub spices in which you choose the level of heat (I did medium and I can take the heat) served up with Dave’s sauce. The medium level really didn’t have any heat at all. I’d classify it as mild at best. My opinion is the heat levels are all a bit overstated to be safe. Dave’s sauce is good and pairs nicely with the chicken. The chicken is cooked lightly and fresh with a generous portion size. We got the slaw and it was quite good too (which normally I’ll pass but this was a welcomed taste). I also added cheese, glad I did. The buns are tasty and light, almost like an airy butter. The pickles add some crunch. They are not serving up a variety of options beyond the sauce. I got honey packets and I’m glad I did because they added some needed taste.

They have a larger outdoor area for eating in additional to limited seating inside that is roomy, high ceiling. However, the inside is simply too small for how busy they are. The process is order the food at the counter and pay, then wait for them to call out your number to pick up your food as you stand above others eating at the indoor tables- it’s a bit uncomfortable for us all. Thankfully the line moved quickly and my order was ready in less than 5 minutes.

Overall, the service and food were good but the taste is a slightly underwhelming and I will have to try again with a higher level of heat. I would recommend trying for sure!
