If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

We checked in 11/28/2019 and left 12/1/2019. There was a terrible winter storm, nearby areas lost power or were closed for flooding, the freeway was shut down, MnDot was even pulled off the roads. 20" + of snow came, literally overnight and the staff at this hotel did not skip a beat!

The staff was beyond accommodating - they had snacks in the lobby, kept the bar and pool open later than usual since everyone was essentially trapped inside the hotel. They allowed guests to stay past check out time, since the freeway was still closed and many cars were still buried in the parking lot. I know at least 1 employee spent the night, because she couldn't get home due to the storm - despite that and all the factors working against them every single employee we encountered was smiling, cheerful and happy to help. I'm sure it was a stressful weekend for all of the employees but you wouldn't have known from talking to them, they were all great! I wish I had gotten the names of everyone we interacted with so they could be thanked personally!

We would not hesitate to stay here for any future trips to the Duluth area. The pool was clean and towels well stocked. The breakfast has more options than a standard continental breakfast and everything was hot. They have a cash bar from 5-9 in the lobby, we got $1 off coupons when we checked in. Our King Bed was VERY comfortable and the room was a nice size. Location is great, right off the freeway and a 5 minute drive to the Canal Park area.

Everything about this place is centered around quality. Food is always on point and the service is always fast and friendly. We are always pleased!

The manager is great always so accommodating to our operation smile group. I only wish they could update the bathrooms in the room. I just can't bring myself to shower there. The showers/bathtubs are just old and years of built up soap scum. But they have updated so much in this hotel I would think the bathrooms would be the highest priority!
