I believe it is supposed to be hip and trendy, which I am not. Food was good, I had brick oven pizza, but different. Nothing really familiar on the menu. Larger inside than I expected. Prices are fairly high. Not someplace I would eat regularly, but a good experience.

The key lime is a lovely creamy tart. Packed with flavor. Paired with a fantastic wood fired Maria pizza. Always yummy.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟; I recommend Hands on Hazy IPA, any barrel-aged beers, It Has Layers Pizza, nachos, and the Smash Burger.

This is my favorite place. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I enjoy the atmosphere and location; it has earned the top spot as my default place to go.

Their food, beer, and cocktail selection is top notch. Their bartenders are open to trying off-menu drinks but they have been working to expand their available options.

Some nights the live music can diminish the experience if you did not expect music or want to have a conversation. The parking can be difficult at times.

Enjoyed the nachos and tiramisu, worth every calorie! Generous portions, enough to share. Fast friendly service, casual setting without tvs in your face. Will visit again.

Rapids Brewing Company is a solid brewery with an equally solid food menu. We visited for their Oktoberfest celebration, which involved the ceremonial tapping of a new keg and included free pours (always appreciated!).

The “It Has Layers” pizza featured a nice array of alliums and was definitely tasty. It should be noted that there weren’t any dairy-free options, which was somewhat surprising given that so many other breweries on the wood fire pizza bandwagon have plant-based options.

My flight of beers included a Hefeweizen, an Oktoberfest, a wet-hopped IPA, and a vanilla porter. The beers were a standard, decent representation of each variety.

All in all, if I find myself in Grand Rapids again, I’ll probably return.
