Shining Light Cafe

What a wonderful hometown restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly, and the owner came up and chatted for a spell with us. I had the #6 breakfast. Done right, and the hashbrowns were perfectly crispy. Their bread is all homemade and I did the wheat and it was very good. They also sell their buns and bread if you want to pick them up on your way out. My wife ordered the cheese burger and fries, and she was happy with how they prepared it. If we are ever back thru there, we will be stopping by for sure!

Shining Light is a great little spot tucked away in Northome, MN. We passed through on the way to Ely, and stopped for breakfast. We tried a couple of omelets - the Western and the Spinach, and both were cooked perfectly and delicious. Portion sizes were a good value, with a small amount of leftovers to take home. The toast was excellent - we tried the cranberry wild rice bread and it was delicious! Service overall was great and our server was friendly and attentive. We will be back next time we're in the area.

This is the best food I've ever had. My go to is the omelet it I'd loaded with ham perfectly cooked I'd take it over a steak. The owner is so nice gives us extra food all the time and the cinnamon and Carmel rolls are unmatched. We've made a 5 hour drive just for this food!
