Very good and definitely worth the visit! The whole staff and the owner were incredibly friendly and it was a great stop right before heading to the Spam Museum.
I’m glad I went out of the way to try it for the cute and kitchy factors alone. The burger itself was just ok. Not looking even remotely like the picture shown here! It was a bun with the meat (just enough to cover the bun), with a smear of mustard and ketchup and 3 pickle slices UNDER the meat, then all wrapped tightly in wax paper. No basket or tray with spill over meat. Just a wrapped bun. A novelty. It was good but I think it’s more nostalgia that would keep the locals coming. It is simply steamed ground beef with NO seasoning. Not even salt or pepper. The gals serving were super helpful and nice. I won’t go back but like I say, I’m glad I tried it.
Great sandwiches and malts in a unique nostalgic setting
Love this place. Burgers and malts are the best in Austin! Worth every penny!
While driving to Yellowstone, my family and I stumbled upon it. First and foremost, the food is great. They offer “loose” burgers, which is essentially ground beef packed between a bun. It does sound questionable, but not only is it actually healthier, it’s delicious, so don’t be fooled. Second, the service was outstanding. The owner, Sarah White, talked with us for a long time and thanked us for coming in. All the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. It’s certainly worth a stop if you find yourself in the area!!
