Fisherman's Inn

The view is fantastic and it's especially lovely at sunset. Most tables have a view of the lake.
Service has been great every time we've been here. We seem to get the same waiter which is fine because Brad knows the menu inside out.
The variety of seafood is pretty broad and includes a couple exotic options: frog legs and escargot. The soup and salad bar is included with every entree. It's fairly pedestrian with iceberg lettuce and a few veggies. The thousand island dressing is obviously house made (my favorite!) and there are local delicacies of pickled herring and pickled beets.
The entrees include a couple beef options for folks who don't like seafood however others have said the beef is only so-so.
Vegetarian options are very limited and vegans will be disappointed.
Parking is limited. There are four handicapped spaces and a ramp but the door requires someone to open and hold it. There are a couple stairs inside that can be avoided and seating is possible pretty much anywhere except the bar. It is small and spaces are narrow so you may need someone else to go to the salad bar for you.

Excellent food and service in an old-style atmosphere plus a great view of the river. Had a class reunion group of 30 that is happy to keep returning. Thank you taking care of us so well.

Best place I've ever eaten at. Bad English ending a sentence with a preposition, but this place is amazing. Great service, great food, great environment looking over the lake. Who could ask for more. And also at a very reasonable price. The owner has some interesting stories also if you get the time to chat with him.

I loved the food! The king Crab melted in my mouth. The steak was one of the best I have had in years and was cooked to perfection. The service was amazing. Very attentive. Our waitress went way above and beyond to ensure our comfort and Happiness. The view from the dock outside was clean and pleasant.

Con: Price was a little high

Yes I would recommend this restaurant for special occasions.

Great spot for a special dinner. I started with the salad bar (they have really good herring!!) & had the ribs & (excellent!) walleye plate. Our table overlooked the lake, really scenic. Wait staff was very attentive and fast.
