John Hardy's BBQ

Service was great!
Food is good.
But I'm not big on BBQ. However, my wife is. She would give them 5 stars. So take that as you'd like.

Their pulled pork sandwiches are instantly elevated in taste by their amazing sauce! Although this place is always jam packed, especially during lunch hours, their staff is friendly and welcoming. For these reasons, I eat here more often than anywhere else.

The best and been in Rochester FOREVER. John was a great guy and his business and recipes live on. If you are in Rochester and want some great BBQ, this is the spot. Think vinegar/mustard with as much heat as you can stand.

Got three meals to go all different and they're all prepared right to the T and the wait staff we're very friendly and they help me order so first time I've been there so they help me order what I described or tried to describe. Great barbecue sauce I know it's probably a given but I had to say it. I didn't get heartburn.☺

Excellent Pulled Pork with scrumptious Jojo's and Baked Beans with a bit of meat in it!! You can't beat this meal. A variety of sauces from the tame to the wild. Great ribs also. The kind you want to pick up and gnaw off the bone and in this casual atmosphere it is expected! They have an atrium and also a patio for your dinning pleasure. They also offer catering for weddings and parties. I've eaten here many many times since the early 80's and the food is always great. You can even purchase meats by the pound and the Hardy's BBQ sauces.
